Follow the footsteps of Roman emperor Hadrian and explore the beautiful ruins of Jerash. Here you find a city that is often described as Rome away from Rome and it once was one of the greatest cities of the Roman Empire. Take a journey back in time the Hippodrome, the Theater, the Temples of Artemis and Zeus.
Day 3 – Travel the road of Kings and explore the crusader castles
Today is the second day of your journey through Jordan’s endless history and breathtaking nature in 12 days. You will enjoy the spectacular views of the Kings Highway. This ancient road was travelled by traders and armies throughout human history. Among them were the Crusaders, who built two castles in the area: Karak and Shobak. These spectacular fortresses are waiting to be explored, high on their rocks.
Day 4 – Petra: Visit the eighth wonder of the world
A day you will remember for a long time, today you will marvel at the wonders of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is a magical place. Follow the footsteps of Indiana Jones and visit the Treasury and the Royal Tombs.
You will have a chance to explore the enormous area. There are lots of chances to climb up the rocky mountains. You can go to the viewpoint to have a spectacular look down onto the Treasury – most beautiful in the morning as the upcoming sun illuminates it. Or hike to the High Place of Sacrifice and take the trail down to the Garden Temple Complex.
If you have enough energy, stay for sunset in the Theater. In the evening, enjoy dinner with a local family.
Day 5 – Wadi Rum: Ever been to Mars?
This morning, your journey into the desert begins. A local Bedouin guide takes you on a beautiful hiking trail that leads you through Petra’s back door to the monastery, the largest of Petra’s monuments with its huge and beautifully carved doorways.
The adventure continues in the afternoon when a 4×4 will take you into the Wadi Rum desert, a recognized UNESCO site. Stroll around this spectacular landscape at your Bedouin camp, enjoy the sunset from your rock of selection and gaze romantically at the starry sky all night long.

Even adventurers need a rest, and where better to do that than the deep blue waters of the Red Sea.
