This colorful handmade bag from Jordan just makes you happy. It’s hand-made on the ground loom in traditional Bedouin patterns by women in Petra, Jordan. It’s made with recycled threads of 2nd hand jumpers and 100% recycled cotton.
When you purchase your Lumeyo handwoven bag you contribute directly to local community. You also help us to preserve this fantastic Bedouin tradition of handwork, which is going extinct. Only older generations know how to make these patterns and fabrics that are the same as the hand-woven Bedouin tents you find in Jordan. New generations don’t know how to use the ground-loom. but are inspired to do so by these products.
