Day 1

Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport Amman. After going through customs and picking up the luggage, your private driver will be waiting with a name sign.  From the airport you will drive towards Madaba. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.

Day 2

This morning you’ll start with a ‘city tour’ through Madaba. Visit the St. George Church, known by its mosaics of the Promised Land. Continue along other churches and monuments in Madaba, such as the Shrine of the beheading of St. John the Baptist. After a morning in Madaba, you’ll continue with your trip. The next stop is Mount Nebo where Moses saw the Promised Land, but died and was buried.After a visit to this religious monument, you'll continue towards Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where John the Baptist, baptized Jesus. Join the group tours and walk along the different pools and churches. (Please note it is possible to be baptized here. Contact us if you'd like to arrange this.)  After a full day with new impressions, you’ll head to your 3* Hotel in Amman.Biblical places:  St. George Church with mosaics of the Promised Land; Shrine of the Beheading of St. John Baptist; and, other churches and monuments. Day 3

From Amman your driver will take you to Ajloun. Here you’ll start a hike along the ancient Abraham Path. With a local guide you’ll go from the visitors center of Ajloun to Mar Elias, where you'll find ruins of one of the oldest churches in Jordan, dedicated to Prophet Elijah.  After a day of walking along this path, you’ll spend the night with a local family in Orjan. An evening with traditional food and sleeping like locals.

Day 4

From Orjan you’ll have a short transfer to the starting point of the next walk, Beit Idis. From here you’ll continue with the Abraham Path, where you’ll be walk along the Jesus Cave and ruins of a Byzantine church. After a day of walking, the driver will be waiting for you in Pella, to take you back to the 3* hotel in Amman.

Day 5

From Amman you’ll drive southwards via the Kings Highway, which provides scenic views over the valleys of Jordan. Make a stop at the Karak Crusaders Castle, the Dana Nature Reserve and when time allows, Little Petra. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Petra.

Day 6

Today you have a full day to visit world heritage and UNESCO site Petra. Walk your way through the mystic Siq, admire the beautiful Treasury and explore the site with its Colonnaded Street, the Theater. If you still have energy and time left, visit the High Place of Sacrifice or the Monastery to make the most out of your visit to Petra. Tonight you’ll have time to explore the little village of Petra and/or enjoy optional activities. Overnight in a 3* hotel in Petra.

Day 7

In the morning you'll have time to relax, or spend a second morning in Petra. In the afternoon, the driver will take you from Petra towards Wadi Rum. Along the way you’ll see the landscape changing from the mountains of Petra to the moon-landscape of Wadi Rum. Once arrived in the Rum Village, you’ll continue with 4×4 jeeps for a tour along the most impressive parts of this desert. Visit sand-dunes, rock bridges and -arches, and inscriptions. After the tour you will be brought to the camp for a traditional Bedouin dinner and overnight stay in Bedouin tents.

Day 8

From Wadi Rum you’ll drive via Aqaba and the Desert Highway towards the Dead Sea. The road takes you through Wadi Araba, which allows you to see impressive mountain formations and silky sand-dunes. Before you arrive at the Dead Sea, you’ll make a stop at the Pillar of Lot’s Wife and the Cave of Lot. The Bible tells the story that God’s angels told Lot to escape with his family from the doomed city of sin, Sodom and Gomorrah and instructed them not to look back. Lot’s wife did and turned into a pillar of salt. Lot and his two daughters escaped and stayed in what is now called, Lot’s Cave. After a visit to these monuments, you'll continue your way towards the 4* Dead Sea Resort for an evening and overnight stay.

Day 9

This morning you’ll have the possibility to enjoy some more floating in the Dead Sea, or make a nice hike in Wadi Mujib. Wadi Mujib is described in the Bible as the Ammon Valley and combines religious heritage with fun and adventure. In the afternoon you’ll make a visit to Mukawir. This is the place where John the Baptist was beheaded by Herod the Great. After a visit to this less known but impressive site, the driver will take you to the 3* hotel in Madaba.

Day 10

Time to say goodbye to Jordan. The driver will take you towards the Queen Alia International Airport for departure.

Optional Extensions:

  • Add an extra day to your trip and visit Pella with Byzantine Churches from the 5th and 6th century and the Civic Complex Church. After Pella you visit As- Salt where you’ll find graves of Prophets Joshua (Who continued and finished the journey of Moses), Job (One of the first Biblical Patriarchs) and a grave of Jethro, the father in law of Moses.
  • Add another 2 days of the Abraham Path to your trip, contact us for the possibilities
  • Visit Jabal Haroon, where Aaron, the brother of Moses supposed to be buried with an extra day in Petra.
